How to Fix Error on Canon Pixma IP2770 Printer

Here are some error messages on the Canon Pixma IP2770 printer :

A. The Cartridge Not Detected

How to fix it :

• Remove the cartridge that error.
• Clean the bottom of the ink out with tissue and connectors (brass parts) and replace the cartridge.
• Press the reset button for approximately 5-6 seconds until the printer performs the reset process cartridge error count and error warning on the screen is missing.

B. Error Number: 5200

How to fix it :

• Make sure the printer is turned off.
• Press the reset button for 3 seconds, then press the power button without releasing the reset button until the green light is on.
• During pressing the power button, release and press the reset button 5 times.
• Release both buttons simultaneously. Then the computer will detect a new printer. Wait until the new printer detection process is completed.
• Once completed, turn the printer off and then turn on again. The printer is ready for use.

C. The Results of Print Out are Striped.

If the print out are striped, it means that the cartridge is too long worn. But you can still use it by making a few changes to the printer settings.

How to changes the printer settings :

• Press CTRL + P.
• After appearing toolbar printer options select Properties button so that it appears a new toolbar as below:

• Change the default Print Quality becomes HIGH, and check the Gray scale Printing option if you only want to print out paper black color only. Click OK, and you can see the results.
